Heh heh! Just kidding! So while I will admit to a certain amount of political unsophistication (hint: I'm a left-leaning guy who voted for Obama), I can understand how this place came to be as I watched the (sometimes ugly) back-and-forth at the LGC. I thought I'd come over from my usual perch at the LGC and say hello.

I would have voted for Obama if I could have done so legally. I did cheer when he won. See, I was not a US citizen at the time of the previous presidential elections because I had wowed I would not become naturalized under Bush's presidency. When Obama won, I finally figured I could go forward with naturalization.

I almost voted for Obama the first time, I was naive enough to think he, you know, meant that stuff he said. Also, bush.

I voted, I campaigned, I registered voters at street festivals, I donated $150 in the primary and $150 in the general, I had a yard sign and a bumper sticker, I dropped off a folding table and 4 folding chairs when the Columbus OH operations were getting started up.

There was genuinely a lot I was prepared to put up with, and did, but it's gone past my personal breaking point now. There are many others for whom it has not, and that's fine. Personal preference. Like I told Fukshot, I'm still half-tempted to quietly check the box for Obama just to see how apoplectic conservatives will get if Obama is re-elected.
