The State: Seize It? Or Smash It?
Here is the fundamental difference between Marxist scientific socialism and anarcho- syndicalism: Marxists advocate seizing control of the state and using it as a vehicle to the transition of society into communism ( the socialist phase, as Marx put it ) while anarchists see the state as an intrument of oppression no matter who controls it and it must be destroyed immediately upon the success of a worker's revolution.
Both movements have the same ultimate goal ( a stateless society with the maximum of personal liberty ) it would seem, but arriving there is the sticking point, which has led to considerable ink ( and blood ) being spilled between them.
An ancient argument, I know. But let's get everyone's viewpoint.

I don't give a fuck how you put the means of production in the hands of the people. Just do it, and make sure it's in direct control.
Edit: to clairify, anarchy and democratically controlled corporations, that's find by me. State seizure and public running and funding of every company including entrepreneurship (the creation of new 'businesses'), that's fine too as long as we have a working democracy. Yup thats awesome. Same as the second but on a local communal level? that sounds best.

I'm suspicious of all power structures. But I don't know that we can actually abolish them. The larger number of people prefer slavery and happy lies.
