Hello all... a little late to the party.

My screen name is the same here as it is almost anywhere else on the net, including LGC. If you ever see the name attached to any teabagger crap or racist or sexist screeds, that's probably not me, but I think that my views are somewhat consistent. I got the PM from Comedian to check the site out a while ago, but have been slow to do so. Some of the recent stuff over on LGC got me thinking I should check things out. I don't plan to leave LGC so I won't bad mouth the place. I am somewhat of a pragmatic idealist so I hope for the best from people but I know that we are all f'ed up in our own unique and special way.

I do not consider myself a socialist but I realize that I hold many views that people further to the left of traditional liberalism hold. I grew up around firearms, but have not shot super regularly. I own a couple of handguns, a shotgun and some rifles mostly in common calibers that are cheaper, have a history, and are plentiful, so mostly military type. I live in California so I don't own any assault weapons, though I do own military derived self loading rifles . I have thought of getting into reloading, but currently have no discretionary funds to do any kind of purchasing of any equipment so I am in a holding pattern.

I am still a LGC member and correspond with some of the people there from time to time, but I am on a posting hiatus for awhile.

I don't miss it and won't be going back. Once we get up to 20 members here, I'm moving this forum to a better and less buggy board.

Sorry to hear that. I enjoyed many of your posts. Guess I will just have to enjoy them here. I try to understand why people make their decisions so I can say, yeah, I understand how you would feel like posting at LGC would not be productive after looking at some of the posts. I wish this board as much success as LGC has had in the past few years and will do my best not to pee on the rug.
